Came here for a quote on my car. They charge $35 - $50 for a quote. I would've gone elsewhere as I'm usually not charged for a quote at other mechanics and it didn't sit right with me but my car wasn't in a good position to drive further. Also, it wasn't clear what constitutes a $35 quote versus a $50 quote. It turned out my power steering pump needed replacing and they wanted $540 for the job. I called another mechanic and he offered $280. The discrepancy in cost was a difference in labor costs, both mechanics asked about $150 for the part. I ended up taking my car and risking the drive to the other mechanic to get it fixed and paid them the fee for the quote. I am grateful they charged on the low end of $35 and not the $50. I can't speak to their quality of service as I didn't use them in the end, but for the price it didn't seem worth it, and the charge for the quote rubbed me the wrong way.

Great staff and great service. I had a maintenance light come on and took it into Du Fresne's for service, the assured me the maintenance light popped on as someone previously forgot to reset it, as any maintenance that would be due had been done, per the database or records for my VIN, and no oil change was needed either. They did a thorough check and did find I needed brake work. They took the time to describe what condition the rotors and calipers were in, and which needed replaced and which didn't. I picked my car up later that day; they were also running a food drive for the Oregon Food Bank, so I was able to drop off a bag of groceries with them that would be transferred to the food bank. I'll say it again, Great Staff and Great Service at Du Fresne's.
