This place has a good old retro vibe about it. Folks here are happy to help you with anything, the way things used to be. Instead of having to make a dump run after my oil change, they happily helped me place my broken chair in their dumpster. Their end of the year rebate program fully covered my oil change. Their newsletter is cute and unique with fun facts, coupons for service and coffees, delicious recipes and puzzles. All featured on thick card stock in a convenient size for carrying around in case time slows down for some reading. It’s a rare mailer that does not go straight into the recycling bin. Their waiting area is small but the drive up coffee counter sells small conveniences like muffins and chips. It’s the only place I know that you can drive up to buy cigarettes without stepping out of your car!

I was referred to Du Fresne's by AAA after they came out to check what I thought was a dead battery on my 2003 Honda, but turned out to be a starter that had quit. AAA was able to start the car temporarily, and as soon as they left, I took it over to the shop, which is near my house. They replaced the starter that same afternoon and the car has been running great ever since. I appreciate that they took the car on short notice and were able to fix it so quickly!

A detailed estimate was delivered by e-mail and an omitted labor charge was explained to me in advance of the work being started. Rather than do something that I suggested, further inspection revealed it was unnecessary. I appreciate their integrity for not running up the repair bill and then explaining why the repair was not required. I intend to be a repeat customer.

Du Fresne's is SO WONDERFUL. They have such amazing customer care and really value keeping us around for a long time. I never feel like they're trying to take advantage of me (even though I know nothing about cars haha) and they always explain things in a way I will understand. They care about me AND my car.
