Worst garage ever... I had to take my car three times in row in a week because I had a coolant leak. Every times it was supposed to be fixed but it was not... First time they changed the radiotar cap and reconnected a hose. When they told me on the phone they did that it was kind of a good surprise because usually it is more than that. Even if my leak was pretty big I found it weird it was just that... I already had this issues lots of time with other cars and it was not just about a radiotar cap and a hose but í am not a certified mechanic so this was a good good cheap news. Two days latter same issue and same leak... I am taking the car back and this time they changed the radiator, not the same price... I went from $70 bill the first time to a more than $500... If it was the real issue i am ok with that, but I asked to have the first bill took off the second bill since i had again the same leak and the first repairs was not the good one. The only answer I had was we did not charge you this time for something we had to check the first time.. Well maybe if you had check better the first time you would have found the issue right away!? Two days latter same issues, no more coolant in the tank... I am taking back the car not very happy about the situation and i letting them know. No appologies, no sorry etc etc The car is fixed ( I hope) it was an other hose issue etc etc , so theyŕe not charging me for the work but i have to pay the part around $28. When i am getting the car back i am asking to do not pay for the part since i had to take my car three times to get it fixed. Firt time in my 25 years life of owning cars it happens... I am not a mechanic but i do understand how a car works and it doesn take three times to fix the issue. I had to pay for the part... The mechanic is called Marco and i think he did a very poor job, all the peoples i had to deal with at the reception were not nice. So ye, that garage is one the worst experience i had. There are other stuffs i did not mention because i do no have time to write a novel about that garage but trust me you should go elsewhere. I just checked the coolant tank volume and it is lower than the add marker... Good job Du Fresne....
I hate it when things are out of our control. 1st of all let me say the 96 vehicle of 23 years old and 209,168 miles has worn parts. Each time he was in, the leak at that time was found, fixed and pressure tested before giving back to customer. When a new part is introduced in the system, it becomes the strongest, and then the weakest link can weaken and Break. We can’t justify replacing all parts at the first repair just to make sure nothing else will go wrong. We did give the customer a Free Loaner to use and no labor was charged on the last repair as good will. I am very sorry about the outcome of this repair.
